I am the sum total of my talents.

I am the sum total of my talents.

I love being a musician, a producer and a writer - but I realize that this is my season to be a cartoonist. My first gift from God. The talent that’s been with me the longest and has never hurt me. Ever. Hell yeah, I’m gonna embrace it. APNF for life.

Today I dropped my first episode of A Pug Named Fender for 2012. I thought I’d share how it goes from ‘sketch to screen’ — starting as a pencil drawing on a piece of 8.5” x 11” paper and ending up on my laptop for me to color in Photoshop & letter in Illustrator.
Depending on the details of the episode, a typical APNF episode takes 3-4 hours to go from concept to splashed onscreen. This one only took a little over an hour.
